Vinayagar Agaval 2 ·
You with five hands, the goad and the noose, the dark blue form that has made its home in my heart, the hanging mouth, the eight shoulders, three eyes and the marks of the three streams of musth, the two ears and the shining golden crown, the radiant chest with the full three-stranded sacred thread! O wish-granting elephant, who stands as the wonder of true knowledge in the turiya state beyond all words!
Vinayagar Agaval 3 ·
O You who relish the three fruits and ride upon the mouse! Wishing to take me as Your own right now, You came of Your own accord, like a mother, cut away the delusion of endless births, and entered my heart so that the perfect first five syllables became clear to me.
Vinayagar Agaval 4 ·
Taking the form of a guru in this world, You placed Your holy feet upon me and gladly showed me, in a way that never fades, 'This is the way, this is the truth.' With Your tusk as a weapon You destroyed my cruel karma. You poured teaching that never cloys into my ear and showed me the clarity of a wisdom one never tires of.
Vinayagar Agaval 5 ·
With joyful compassion You sweetly taught me the way to restrain the five senses. You made known to me the understanding in which all the instruments of the mind fall still. You cut away both kinds of karma, good and bad, and drove off my darkness. You granted me the four stages and cut away the delusion of the three bonds.
Vinayagar Agaval 6 ·
In this body of nine gates, You showed me how to close the doors of the five senses with a single mantra. You held the mind steady in the six centres, as with a goad, and cut off all speech. You taught me the syllables of the ida and pingala channels, and at the end showed me the crown of the head, reached through the sushumna.
Vinayagar Agaval 7 ·
In the pillar that runs through the three regions, You made it known to me at the tongue of the coiled serpent that rises. You told me openly of the ajapa mantra that is joined with that kundalini and bursts forth. You taught me how the fire that blazes in the muladhara is raised by the breath.
