Explanation

One goes to the temple to see the Lord; but wherever the devotee thinks of him, he comes there. The thought itself becomes the temple.

From the Srimad Bhagavatam, Book 4

Dhruva

Insulted by his stepmother, five-year-old Dhruva went to the forest to see the Lord. Narada gave him a mantra. The child gave up food and water, and at last stood on one foot, meditating on the Lord in his heart. The firmness of his meditation shook the worlds. Vishnu appeared before him outside in the very form he held within. He was given the place of the unmoving pole star in the sky.
