Meaning
Victory in every task I take up; victory wherever I look; victory everywhere for every word I have spoken - Kali granted this to me who prayed. Even if what stands in my way is a god, even if it is a man close to me, Kali, great in grace, will strike it down so that victory in this world is mine.
Victory in every thought I think; victory everywhere; victory in everything. Mother Kali, who stood by me as my eye and my precious life, has blessed me here. To those who say 'Victory to the feet of Kali!' will not earth, wind, water, fire and sky come and stand in reverence? Will not the dwellers of heaven bow and serve them?

Explanation
This is a song of resolve (sankalpa), with the word 'victory' recurring like a mantra. The Goddess's promise in the Devi Mahatmyam - 'whenever distress arises, I will appear and destroy the foe' - becomes here the poet's personal faith.
The daring line 'even if what stands in the way is a god' deserves notice. In the Shakta tradition Kali is the root power behind every deity, so nothing can block one who has surrendered to her. In the second stanza the five elements bow, because the elements themselves are forms of the Mother. And the victory belongs to the one who says 'Victory to Kali's feet' - the victory is not his own but that of her feet.
To reflect on
Victory comes to the one who says 'Victory to Kali's feet' - what is the difference between asking victory for ourselves and asking it for her feet?
