ஈண்டுநீர் வையத்துள் எல்லாரும் எத்துணையும்வேண்டார்மன் தீய விழைபயன் நல்லவைவேண்டினும் வேண்டா விடினும் உறற்பாலதீண்டா விடுதல் அரிது.

பொருள்
இந்த உலகில் எவரும் தீய விருப்பத்தின் பயனைச் சிறிதும் விரும்புவதில்லை. ஆனால் நல்லதை விரும்பினாலும் விரும்பாவிட்டாலும், வந்து சேர்ந்ததைத் தீண்டாமல் விடுவது அரிது.
Meaning
In this world no one at all wants the fruit of evil desire, even a little. Yet whether one wants good things or not, once they have arrived it is hard not to be touched by them.
