அறியாரும் அல்லர் அறிவ தறிந்தும்பழியோடு பட்டவை செய்தல் - வளியோடிநெய்தல் நறவுயிர்க்கும் நீள்கடல் தண்சேர்ப்பசெய்த வினையான் வரும்.

பொருள்
அவர்கள் அறியாதவர் அல்லர்; அறிவதை அறிந்தும் பழியோடு கூடியவற்றைச் செய்கிறார்கள். அதுவும் செய்த வினையின் வலியால் வருவதே.
Meaning
They are not ignorant; knowing what is right, they still do what brings blame. That too comes of the force of deeds already done.
