Koorththunaay kauvik kolakkantum thamvaayaal / Paerththunaay kauvinaar eengkillai - neerththanrik / Keezhmakkal keezhaaya solliyakkaal solpavoa / Maenmakkal thamvaayaal meettu.

Meaning

Seeing a sharp-toothed dog bark and snap, there is no one here who barks back with his own mouth. When the base speak basely, would the noble answer it with their own mouths?

Explanation

That no one answers a dog by barking is a simple observation. Fitted to human relations, it sharpens.

With their own mouths occurs twice. To answer in kind is to do nothing but bark.

To reflect on

Barking back is not an answer to barking.
