Meaning

Once the dancer who lived in this leather bag and made it work has left, what does it matter whether the body is tied with rope and dragged off, carefully buried, dumped wherever, or reviled by many?

Explanation

The soul is a dancer; the body is the leather bag he moves. Once he leaves, nothing done to the bag means anything.

So rather than pampering the body, do good while the soul is still in it.

To reflect on

Let the dance be good while the dancer is here.
