பொருள்
கற்பாறைகள் ஓங்கிய உயர்ந்த மலைமேல் காந்தள் மலராவிட்டால், சிவந்த புள்ளிகளுடைய வண்டுக் கூட்டம் அங்கே செல்லாது. கொல்லையில் கவண் கொண்டு கிளி ஓட்டும் காட்டு நாட்டுத் தலைவனே! ஒன்றும் இல்லாதவர்களுக்கு உறவினர் இல்லை.
Meaning
If the kānthaḷ does not bloom on the high rocky hill, the swarms of red-spotted bees will not go there. O lord of the forest land, where they drive the parrots from the millet fields with slings: those who have nothing have no kin.
