பொய் நீங்கிய புலவர் பொருள் உணர்ந்து ஆராய்ந்த, மாசு நீங்கிய உயர்ந்த நிலையின் மாண்பைச் சொன்னால் — அதில் இருள் இல்லை, சொல் இல்லை, மாறுபாடு இல்லை, சோர்வு இல்லை, இடர் இல்லை; இன்றே இனிதாக உறங்கலாம்.
Meaning
If one speaks of the worth of that stainless high state which the poets free of falsehood understood and sifted, then there is no darkness in it, no word, no change, no weariness, no distress, and one sleeps well this very day.

இப்பாடல் ஐந்து 'இன்று'களை வரிசையாகச் சொல்கிறது: இருள் இல்லை, சொல் இல்லை, மாறு இல்லை, சோர்வு இல்லை, இடர் இல்லை. ஐந்தும் மனித வாழ்வின் ஐந்து குறைகள்.

Explanation
Five absences are repeated in a row: no darkness, no word, no change, no weariness, no distress. Those are the five faults of human life, and the last line says that state gives rest today, not only later.
