நல்ல தாமரை மலர்மேல் வீற்றிருக்கும் பொற்பாவை போன்ற திருமகளே! மணமில்லாத பொன் தகடு போன்றவளே! நீ நிலத்தில் சாம்பலாகி அழிவாயாக! நல்லோரிடமிருந்து வேறுபட்ட இழிந்தவர்களிடமே நீ புகுகிறாய்; பொன் போன்ற நல்லோரின் பக்கம் வருவதில்லை.
Meaning
O Lakshmi, golden doll seated on the lovely lotus, you who are like a gold leaf without fragrance: may you crumble into ash on the ground! You go over to the side of base men and never come to the good, who are pure as gold.
