low, stooping, debased
do not walk, do not conduct yourself

Explanation

This is the other side of 'walk like a bull'. Walking low is not only stooping in body; it is also doing base deeds. Humility and lowliness are different: bowing to elders is a virtue, bowing to injustice is degradation.
Thiruvalluvar's chapter on honour holds that death is better than a life of base deeds. The Gita (6.5) says, 'Lift yourself by yourself; do not let yourself sink down.'
