பொருள்
மறைத்தும், உரிந்தும், பூசியும், நீட்டியும், ஆராய்ந்து பாலை மறைத்து உண்பவனே மேய்பவன்; அறம் ஆம்; மேலும் சொல் பொறுத்தலே அன்று; இல்லாவிட்டால் இல்லறமே பொய்.
Meaning
Covering and stripping and smearing and stretching, sifting and hiding the milk before he eats: that is the herdsman, and it is virtue. Beyond that is bearing with words; without it, the household life itself is a lie.
