ஆகா தெனினும் அகத்துநெய் யுண்டாகின்போகா தெறும்பு புறஞ்சுற்றும் - யாதும்கொடாஅ ரெனினும் உடையாரைப் பற்றிவிடாஅர் உலகத் தவர்.

பொருள்
பாத்திரம் தகாததே ஆயினும் உள்ளே நெய் இருக்குமானால் எறும்பு போகாமல் புறத்தே சுற்றி வரும்; அதுபோல் எதையும் கொடுக்கா வரே ஆயினும், உடையாரைப் பற்றிக்கொண்டு உலகத்தார் விடமாட்டார்.
Meaning
Though the pot is of no use, if there is ghee inside the ants will not go away but keep circling it outside; so too, though the possessors give nothing, the people of the world cling to them and will not let go.
