Explanation
The first half is a reminder: life goes in the space of a wink. That is nothing new; everyone knows it. But knowing it is one thing, and living by it another.
The second half turns severe: those who do no good also do not die. They are alive — but alive for what? Foolishness here is not ignorance; it is knowing and still not acting. Keeping understanding stored up as understanding is useless; it has to become a life. Without that, breath remains and living does not.
