As the hand-flowers and the flower buds of the brahmins opened, and the world and the lotuses opened their eyes, fragrance came forth; and with the garlanded girl's deep sorrow that dawn broke.
The verse paints dawn beautifully: flowers open, lotuses open their eyes, fragrance spreads. And the last line brings sorrow.
Subtly, the world wakes in gladness while one woman wakes in pain, so dawn for everyone is not dawn for her.
That the hour dawned together with her deep sorrow joins the night's end with the pain's continuation. This is the book's refinement.

The same dawn is not a dawn for everyone.
