பொருள்
குறவன் தன் மலையின் வளத்தை நினைப்பான்; உழவன் தனக்கு விளைச்சல் தந்த நிலத்தை நினைப்பான். அதுபோலச் சான்றோர் ஒருவர் தமக்குச் செய்த நன்மையை நினைப்பர். கயவர், தம்மை ஒருவர் வைததையே நினைப்பர்.
Meaning
The hillman remembers the bounty of his hills; the farmer remembers the field that gave him its harvest. In the same way the noble remember the good someone did them. The base remember only the time someone scolded them.
