வேற்றுமை யின்றிக் கலந்திருவர் நட்டக்கால்தேற்றா ஒழுக்கம் ஒருவன்கண் உண்டாயின்ஆற்றும் துணையும் பொறுக்க பொறானாயின்தூற்றாதே தூர விடல்.

பொருள்
இருவர் வேற்றுமையின்றிக் கலந்து நட்புக் கொண்டபின், ஒருவனிடம் திருத்த முடியாத ஒழுக்கம் தோன்றினால், இயன்றவரை பொறுத்துக்கொள். பொறுக்க முடியாவிட்டால், அவனைத் தூற்றாமல் விலகிவிடு.
Meaning
When two have joined in friendship without any division, and one of them develops conduct that cannot be set right, bear with it as long as you can. If you cannot bear it, let him go without reviling him.
