அன்றியும்கேள் ஆன்மாவால் ஆய்ந்து அறியும் ஐம்பொறிகள்இன்றி அறியா இவை என்ன – நின்றதுபோல்ஓவாமல் உன்னை உணர்த்துவோம் உன் அறிவில்மேவாமல் மேவி நாமே.

பொருள்
மேலும் கேள்: ஆன்மாவால் ஆராய்ந்து அறியும் ஐம்பொறிகள், ஆன்மா இல்லாமல் தாமாக அறிவதில்லை. அப்படி நிற்பது போல, உன் அறிவில், நீ காணாதபடி கலந்து நின்று, இடைவிடாமல் உனக்கு நாம் உணர்த்துகிறோம்.
Meaning
Hear further: the five senses, which know as the soul examines through them, do not know by themselves without the soul. In the same way, We stand within your awareness, joined with it yet unseen by you, and make you know without ceasing.

புலன்கள் ஆன்மாவால் அறிகின்றன; ஆன்மா இறைவனால் அறிகிறது. புலன்களுக்கு ஆன்மா தெரியாதது போல, ஆன்மாவுக்கும் இறைவன் நேரடியாகத் தெரிவதில்லை. ஆனாலும் இரண்டு நிலைகளிலும் உள்ளிருந்து இயக்குபவன் இல்லாமல் எதுவும் நடப்பதில்லை. "மேவாமல் மேவி" என்ற சொற்றொடர் அழகானது: கலந்திருந்தும் கலந்தது தெரியாதபடி இருப்பது. இதுவே இறைவன் உயிர்க்குள் "உடனாய்" நிற்கும் நிலை.
Explanation
The senses know through the soul; the soul knows through the Lord. As the senses do not perceive the soul, the soul does not directly perceive the Lord. Yet at both levels nothing happens without the one who moves it from within. The phrase 'joined yet not seen as joined' is beautiful: to be one with something while the union goes unnoticed. This is how the Lord stands 'together with' the soul.
