பொருள்

முக்கண்ணனாகிய சிவபெருமானின் திருவடிகளை வணங்காதவர்க்குத் துன்பம்; பொன்னிறப் பனைக்கொடியுடைய வெண்ணிறப் பலராமனை நினையாமல் வாழ்வது துன்பம்; சக்கரம் ஏந்திய திருமாலை மறப்பது துன்பம்; சக்திவேல் ஏந்திய முருகனின் திருவடிகளை வணங்காதவர்க்கும் துன்பமே.

Meaning

Sorrow comes to those who do not worship the feet of the three-eyed Lord Shiva; to those who live without remembering the fair Balarama of the golden palm banner; to those who forget Vishnu who bears the discus; and to those who do not worship the feet of Murugan who holds the spear of Shakti.
