Meaning

The rooster that kicks away and kills the harmful mohinis, dakinis, vetalas, bhutas and every kind of sorcery, and stretches up and crows, beating its fierce wings, so that joy abounds, Indra rules heaven as lord again, the gods are freed from prison, and the eight mountains and the asura hosts are crushed to dust. O holy rooster banner of the good guru to Mahadeva, who dances wearing the deer, the serpent and arugu grass; who is himself sky, water, earth, fire and wind, the nine planets and the whole span of life; the supreme commander; who imprisoned Brahma; king of the gods; dear to Vishnu, who became a fish in the dark sea!

Explanation

If the five elements, the nine planets and life itself are all him, why fear planetary afflictions? The same assurance as the Alankaram's 'what can the day do?' rings here.

From the Srimad Bhagavatam, Book 8

The Matsya avatar

As King Satyavrata washed his hands in a river, a tiny fish came into his palm and said, 'Save me.' He put it in a pot; it grew; he put it in a pond, a lake, the sea; it grew as large as the sea. He realised it was Vishnu. When the great flood came, Vishnu in the form of a fish protected his boat, the sages, the Vedas and the seeds of life. The one who protected the small was protected by the Great.
