Explanation
This verse says the body of Nataraja is itself the form of the five letters 'Namasivaya': na in the feet, ma in the belly, si in the shoulders, va in the face and ya in the crown. Read from foot to crown, it is 'Namasivaya'. So to meditate on Nataraja is to meditate on the five letters. Later works also develop this idea.
To reflect on
Shall we slowly picture the Lord's form from foot to crown, saying one letter at each part?
