Explanation
The ring of flames around Nataraja (the prabha or tiruvasi) is the form of Omkara, and its flames are the letters. All sounds and all worlds are held within Omkara, and the Lord dances at its centre. This dance is not seen with the eye alone; only those in whom the ego of 'I' has gone experience its truth.
