அஞ்சுஎழுத்தே ஆகமமும் அண்ணல் அருமறையும்அஞ்சுஎழுத்தே ஆதிபுராணம் அனைத்தும் – அஞ்சுஎழுத்தேஆனந்தத் தாண்டவமும் ஆறாறுக்கு அப்பாலாம்மோனந்த மாமுத்தி யும்.

பொருள்
ஐந்தெழுத்தே ஆகமங்களும் இறைவனின் அரிய வேதங்களும்; ஐந்தெழுத்தே பழைய புராணங்கள் அனைத்தும்; ஐந்தெழுத்தே ஆனந்தத் தாண்டவமும், முப்பத்தாறு தத்துவங்களுக்கு அப்பாற்பட்ட மௌன நிலையான பெரும் முத்தியும்.
Meaning
The five letters are the Agamas and the Lord's precious Vedas; the five letters are all the ancient Puranas; the five letters are the dance of bliss, and the great liberation of silence that lies beyond the thirty-six tattvas.

ஐந்தெழுத்து பகுதி இந்தப் புகழ்ப் பாடலோடு நிறைகிறது. யசுர் வேதத்தின் நடுவில் உள்ள ஸ்ரீ ருத்ரத்தில் "நமசிவாய" இடம்பெறுகிறது; அதனால் அது வேதத்தின் இதயம் என்று போற்றப்படுகிறது. எல்லா நூல்களின் சாரமும், நடனத்தின் பொருளும், முத்தியின் வடிவமும் இந்த ஐந்தெழுத்தில் அடங்கும். திருஞானசம்பந்தர் "காதலாகிக் கசிந்து கண்ணீர் மல்கி ஓதுவார் தமை நன்னெறிக்கு உய்ப்பது வேதம் நான்கினும் மெய்ப்பொருள் ஆவது நாதன் நாமம் நமச்சிவாயவே" என்று பாடினார்.
Explanation
The section on the five letters closes with this song of praise. 'Namasivaya' stands in the Sri Rudram at the centre of the Yajur Veda, and so it is honoured as the heart of the Veda. The essence of all scriptures, the meaning of the dance and the form of liberation are all held in these five letters. Thirugnanasambandar sang: 'What leads to the good path those who recite it with love, melting, tears flowing, the true essence of all four Vedas, is the Lord's name, Namachivaya.'
