குறிகுலிசம் கோகனதம் கொள்சுவத்தி குன்றாஅறுபுள்ளி ஆர் அமுத விந்துப் – பிறிவு இன்றிமண்புனல்தீக் கால்வானம் மன்னும் அடைவேஎன்றுஒண்புதல்வா! ஆகமம் ஓதும்.
Kurikulisam koakanatham kolsuvaththi kunraa / Arupulli aar amutha vinthup – pirivu inri / Manpunaltheek kaalvaanam mannum ataivaeenru / Onputhalvaa! aakamam oathum.
பொருள்
ஒளிமிக்க மகனே! நிலத்துக்கு வச்சிரம், நீருக்குத் தாமரை, நெருப்புக்குச் சுவத்திகம், காற்றுக்கு ஆறு புள்ளிகள், ஆகாயத்துக்கு அமுத விந்து; இவை பிரியாமல் இந்த வரிசையில் நிற்கும் என்று ஆகமம் ஓதுகிறது.
Meaning
O bright son! For earth the thunderbolt (vajra), for water the lotus, for fire the svastika, for wind six dots, and for space the drop of nectar (bindu): so the Agama declares, saying these stand in this order and are never apart.

பூதங்களின் மண்டலங்களுக்குள் வரையும் அடையாளக் குறிகள் இவை. கோயில் கும்பாபிடேகம், யாகசாலை போன்ற இடங்களில் மண்டலம் வரையும்போதும் இவை பயன்படுகின்றன. சுவத்திகம் இந்து மரபில் மங்கலத்தின் குறி; "சு அஸ்தி" என்றால் "நலம் உண்டாகட்டும்". இவற்றை வெறும் சடங்காக அன்றி, உடலும் உலகும் ஒரே ஒழுங்கில் அமைந்தவை என்று உணர்த்தும் குறியீடுகளாகக் கொள்ள வேண்டும்.
Explanation
These are the emblems drawn inside the elements' mandalas. They are also used when mandalas are drawn at temple consecrations and in the yagasala. The svastika is the sign of auspiciousness in Hindu tradition; 'su asti' means 'may it be well'. They are to be taken not as mere ritual but as symbols showing that the body and the universe are made in one order.
